Tattoos may fade over time and sun exposure but subsequently are permanent. As tattoos have become more and more popular over the years, this has also resulted in people seeking tattoo removal. Now there are tattoo removal options available, but not all lasers are treated equally. The alternative treatment devices may cause skin damage and cannot effectively remove color. Our laser tattoo removal device uses acoustic, vibrational energy that breaks up the pigment into small particles that can be eliminated by the body naturally. This technology safely, quickly, and effectively removes difficult tattoos without damaging the surrounding skin, and is safe for darker skin tones which can be more susceptible to hyperpigmentation and/or hypopigmentation.
Our tattoo removal laser has the ability to target different types of ink particles making it more effective at removing large and small ink molecules. At Radiance we want to offer a safe and efficacious laser tattoo removal treatment for our local community and patients.
Any size or shaped tattoo on the body can be treated. Ink for tattoos is not regulated, therefore, there are many different types of ink being used for tattoos and it is unclear to know exactly what it consists of. Due to this, some inks may be easier or harder to remove than others. The amount of treatments depends on this and other factors such as the ink used, age of the tattoo, the experience of the tattoo artist, previous attempts at removing or covering the tattoo, and how deep the tattoo is. The number of treatments can range from 5-12 treatments based on these factors. Treatments may be done 3 months apart for optimal results.
